Screening windows, doors, eaves will improve health outcomes and reduce incidence of malaria

Sealing home’s openings and screening windows, doors and eaves, and implementing community training
Project Outcomes
- ~95% approval by beneficiary families
- Trainings delivered to community health workers
- Training delivered to technicians in innovative construction and design

- 25 technicians attended the community training, and continued to train others post project implementation
- 15 community health workers attended the technical training
- 1,000+ received improved homes
Research Outcomes
From the 3 month follow up survey report:
- 1,967 people (89%) were sleeping in screened structures
- Window and eave installations proved to be more durable at the 3-month follow up
- Door installations proved to be far less durable at the 3-month follow up
