Since the January 12th announcement of the competition winners, both ARCHIVE and the five teams have been working tirelessly to turn the winning designs into construction documents. Haiti Project Coordinator, Maggy Keet, recently returned from St. Marc where she carried out a site visit and held a community engagement session that gave ARCHIVE valuable feedback on the designs. While our construction schedule has been slightly delayed due to the cholera outbreak in St. Marc, we are pressing forward and hope to break ground on April 1st., 2011. After nearly a year of planning and fundraising, we are excited to be moving into the build phase of this project!
