Kay e Sante nan Ayiti: preparing to start building!

We are thrilled to announce that two ARCHIVE volunteers, Rod Cadman (from Grand Junction, Colorado) and Tom Eden (from Bath, U.K.), have arrived in Haiti to begin preparing the site for starting construction in May. This period in construction is termed “site mobilization” and consists of preparing the site to start building. Repairs to the road will soon be underway to allow for the construction of the first two houses to continue through the rainy season in Haiti. The two winning projects ARCHIVE will be building in this first phase are Maison Canopy and Shutter Dwelling.

In October, we will begin the construction of the other three winning projects: Breathe House, Bois l’Etat and Cycle House.

This year promises to be another milestone for ARCHIVE, as we are on the way to make real the winning designs of our competition!
