Introducing ARCHIVE’s NYC Walking Tours

Ever wonder what NYC was like in the past? As early as 20 years ago, it was a very different place to live than it is today. But step back 100 or even 200 years, and the reality is altogether shocking. You’d see slums very much like those of today’s developing countries, if not worse. As a nonprofit based in NYC, we thought we’d cast some light on this gritty aspect of our city’s past, and look at the ways in which the city evolved to overcome what seemed like an impossible challenge. But most importantly, most of these challenges are the very same ones faced by cities today.

So, without further ado, we give you Fevernests and Firetraps: NYC Walking Tours Tracing the Big Apple’s Sickly Past.
